Free confidential Chlamydia and Gonorrhea testing is available but is not a rapid test. Samples for both tests are collected through urine and sent to a laboratory for results. Results take up to 7 business days and can not be given over the phone. Free confidential Hepatitis C testing is provided with a rapid antibody test that uses a small amount of blood by pricking the finger with a lancet and results are given in 20 minutes.
During your HIV testing session, you will be asked questions about possible risk factors and your sexual history.
If the test results are Reactive or preliminary positive, then you will be linked to CAN Community Health to have a confirmatory test done. If applicable Hepatitis C treatment will be provided. There may be a fee for lab services and treatment.
If you have previously been treated for Hepatitis C you will need to take an antigen test. We do not provide Hepatitis C antigen testing services.
Free confidential Rapid HIV Testing is provided with a rapid antibody test that uses a small amount of blood by pricking the finger with a lancet and results are given in 15 minutes.
During your HIV testing session, you will be asked questions about possible risk factors and your sexual history, provided information about HIV/STI treatment options (including Pre and Post Exposure Prophylaxis – PrEP/nPEP), and provided information about what your results are and the window period.
If the test results are Reactive or preliminary positive, then a confirmatory test is done through an oral sample. The oral sample is sent to a laboratory for the screening of the HIV antibodies and results can take 2 weeks.
Free confidential Rapid Syphilis testing is available and is provided with a rapid test that uses a blood sample collected through a finger prick and results are given within 20 minutes. During your STI testing session, you will be asked questions about possible risk factors and your sexual history, provided information about STI treatment options, and provided information on your results.
If the test results are Reactive, then you will be linked to CAN Community Health to have a confirmatory test done. If applicable, treatment will be provided. There is a $35 fee for lab services and treatment.
If you have previously been treated for syphilis you will need to take an antigen test. We do not provide syphilis antigen testing services. You can get a Syphilis antigen test at CAN Community Health. There is a $35 lab services fee.
